Fachbereich Elektro- & Informationstechnik
Faculty of Electrical Engineering & Information Technology

The bachelor’s programme in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology leads to a first professional qualification. The syllabus is divided into modules. The foundation modules centre on basic instruction in natural sciences, mathematics, electrical engineering and information technology. The advanced modules in the respective areas of specialisation, the practical project and the final thesis prepare students for the handling of specialized knowledge with specific foci, so that as graduates they are able to manage projects independently.

In the areas of specialization, students acquire subject-related expertise in the following fields:

  • Automation Technology
  • Electrical Power Engineering
  • Microelectronics
  • Information Technology
  • Communications Technology

Within a technical elective, students can expand their skills in the respective areas of specialization or deepen further their engineering expertise. In parallel, transferable skills are taught in the framework of modules on “English as a Foreign Language” and “Fundamentals of Business Administration” as well as a non-technical elective. The programme ends with an eight-week practical project and the final thesis.
